Membership:
Membership of the Jewish Deaf Association club is restricted to:
a) Jewish and Deaf *
b) Not Jewish by birth and /or not Deaf but married to a paid-up JDA member
* The word 'Deaf' is to be taken to mean the following:
- Deaf and Blind / Partially Blind
- Deafened
- Hard of Hearing
- Partially Deaf
- Profoundly Deaf
Non-Members are welcome at the JDA
Members of the JDA are welcome to bring any Deaf friends/relatives to JDA events and activities (at the community centre or outside), regardless of their faith.
FOR SECURITY REASONS, NON-MEMBERS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PAID-UP JDA MEMBER.
Exceptions:
If an event or activity is open to members only, it will be stated in the JDA Magazine. Otherwise, it should be assumed that non-members are welcome to join in, accompanied by a member. Alternatively, non-members can notify the JDA of their interest to attend an event prior to the event.
JDA reserves the right to refuse anybody not behaving in an acceptable manner.
Anybody wishing to discuss this policy should do so with the Programme co-ordinator or Executive Director.
