A hearty Mazel Tov to Martin Binysh on celebrating his 85th birthday on 27 January 2010.

Wishing Martin many more joyous birthdays to come.
Cohen
A huge Mazel Tov to Elaine Cohen whose 90th birthday was on 2 April 2010.

Elaine's family gave a lovely celebration tea party at Day Centre after Pesach. It was wonderful to have them with us, sharing in Elaine's joyous milestone birthday. So many JDA members are young for their age and Elaine is one of them! We congratulate her and wish her many more happy birthdays.
Goldberg
A jolly Mazel Tov to Minnie Goldberg who celebrated her 95th birthday on 31 January 2010.

At 95 years old, Minnie is an inspiration to us all - she looks superb and is still a youngster at heart! Minnie had several JDA birthday celebrations - a tea party at Day Centre, birthday lunch at a restaurant with her shopping volunteers and a very special 95th treat... a delicious posh tea outing with the JDA staff. We hope she enjoyed her birthday as much as we did!
Hasseck
A big Mazel Tov to Shirley Hasseck on the occasion of her 80th birthday on 9 March 2010.

We wish Shirley many happy birthdays to come.
Kling
Our warmest Mazel Tov to Trudy Kling on her 60th birthday on 19 January 2010.

Trudy celebrated her birthday with a wonderful Nile cruise. We celebrated her birthday afterwards at Day Centre by presenting her with a spectacular bouquet of fairy cup cakes, iced to look like roses. We thanked her for her hard work as both our devoted Day Centre dinner lady and our loyal Chairman of the JDA!
Trudy responded by telling us how much the JDA means to her and her family... and that she couldn't wait to get the amazing cup cake bouquet home to share with them!
We wish Trudy many more fantastic birthdays.
Kosky
A cheery Mazel Tov to Rachel Kosky who reached her 80th birthday on 1 February 2010.

We wish her many happy birthdays to come.
Littman
A hearty Mazel Tov to Marie Littman who celebrated her 90th birthday on 7 February 2010.

Marie celebrated her special birthday at Day Centre with a delicious tea. Several of her friends, who have known her since childhood, made speeches and told stories of their schooldays. Harry Newman described in his usual funny way how glamorous Marie always was!!!
Marie is still one of the JDA's glamour queens and we wish her many more happy, glamorous birthdays.
Solomon
Mazel Tov to David Solomon on his 65th birthday on 9 March 2010.
David is now officially retired from full time employment as a civil servant at the National Archives after 22 years. He still continues to work there two days a week.
We hope he had a wonderful birthday and wish him a happy partial retirement.
Steiner
A jolly Mazel Tov to Ruth Steiner who celebrated her 60th birthday on 14 March 2010 which was also Mother's Day.

We hope Ruth had a marvellous day and wish her lots of happy birthdays to come.
Stellman
A huge Mazel Tov to David Stellman on his 95th birthday on 23 February 2010.

We really do not believe he is 95. He has such youthful looks and is so fit. We hope David had a great day and wish him many active, enjoyable birthdays to come.
Yong
A big Mazel Tov to Jacky Yong on her 60th birthday on 20 April 2010.

Wishing her many more lovely birthdays to come.

Our sincere condolences to his wife, Stella. We wish her a long life free from further sorrow.
Shapiro
Our good friend Jack Shapiro passed away on 29 January 2010 at the age of 93.

Jack lost his hearing as a child and lived with tinnitus for most of his life. He worked with abundant energy for people with a hearing loss and tinnitus and was a founder and Vice-President of the British Tinnitus Association.
As Chair of North West London Tinnitus Association, Jack set up a Tinnitus group at the JDA, which he chaired for several years, giving many distressed people Tinnitus coping strategies and support. He was an enthusiastic contributor to the JDA magazine.
We send condolences to Jack's two daughters, Rosalind and Susan and their families, and wish them long life.
