Purim Comedy Show

The Purim Comedy Show in Woodside Park Synagogue hall was packed with 100 people and it was indeed a very successful afternoon.  The tables and the hall were decorated very cheerfully with different colours. 

John Smith, a Deaf comedian, presented a very funny show that got the audience in fits of giggles!  He portrayed the differences between Deaf and hearing cultures in such a hilarious way that some of us could not stop laughing! 

The show was followed by a substantial supper and a grand raffle with plenty of fabulous prizes donated by JDA members, staff and volunteers.

As it was Ruth Steiner’s birthday on that day, we all wished her a happy birthday and she very kindly presented everyone with a cake.
