How your support makes a difference
How to make a donation
PLEASE SUPPORT US
The Jewish Deaf Association is an independent national charity.
It is the only organisation in the Jewish community with the expertise to provide specialist services for people with all levels of hearing loss and all methods of communication.
We rely entirely on donations and need to attract a new generation of supporters, so that we can maintain our vital services and start innovative new projects to support both
young and older people with a hearing loss.
Please will you support our work by making a donation? As our reputation for high quality provision in the field of hearing loss grows, the demands upon us are increasing.
We really need your extra help.
On behalf of everyone, from our eldest member (Belvin Austin, aged 94 years) to the next Jewish baby born deaf, thank you so much.
How your support makes a difference
Thank you so much for supporting the work of the Jewish Deaf Association.
Every gift, however small, will contribute towards an important part of our work and help to make a real difference to those who will benefit.
Here are some of the ways in which your support will help:
£50 will provide:
• A computer lesson for Deaf sign language users at the JDA
• Toys and games to make visits to the JDA fun for deaf babies and toddlers
£100 will provide:
• A training session for teachers, to give a Jewish deaf child in mainstream school every opportunity to maximise their potential
• A current affairs group to enable hard of hearing people, who are often marginalised, to take part in discussion and share their views
• A group support session for people experiencing tinnitus
£150 will provide:
• A lipspeaker to help a hard of hearing person follow a family funeral service
• A one-to-one appointment with a highly trained consultant in our Technology & Information Centre, to try out the latest equipment for people with a hearing loss

• A speech-to-text reporter to make a Jewish communal event or religious education accessible to young adults with a hearing loss
